I have a friend named Debi who I met through an online group
called Ladies of the Heart. We met about 2 year ago when I was so desperately searching for my Tina. I have not seen Debi's face or hugged her loving neck, but I pray that one day we will have the opportunity to meet face to face.  Debi reached out to me and has touched my heart so deeply.  You see, Debi is a poet  and she writes to me every single day in rhyme.  Her words just seem to flow like a butterfly in the sky. A gift that only the Lord can touch  someone with.  Many of you have seen some of Debi's work on my websites.
But there is so much more that you have not seen.

I have decided to create this page so that I can share with you some of her most beautiful work.  Wish I could put all of her pieces on here,
but it would take about 100 pages. So I have chosen some
of my favorites for you.

Debi is such an inspirational blessing sent to me from our precious Jesus and a dear friend I will cherish forever and always.

Thank you Debi for sharing your love and your gift with me.

This is one of the first pieces I received from Debi in July 2001.

                                      Alone and so lost
                                       I saw her there
I knew she had a heart
                                      that did care.
                                    I read her sweet story
                                    and  it broke my heart
                                    God said step forward
                                     you do your part.
                                   So I befriended this girl
                                      told her it was ok
                                     I am her new friend
                                        in every way.
                                       Stood by her side
                                      not sure what to say
                                     she let me know
just being there made her day.
So rest my friend , Linda
                                    you think I'm clever
                                    I'm just your friend
                                    always and forever.

                                     Hugs

My dear friend Debi
Who Am I?

I am the person that you walk by
 never acknowledge, never say hi.
I am the person who walks with a limp
the one they all tease and call a gimp.

Who am I?
I am the person who will succeed
when you cut me, same color I bleed.

I am the person that you call black
the one that is Chinese
and who never looks back.

I am the child, the adult and the wife
I am the person who doesn't give strife.

Who am I ?
I am the one who prays day to day
I am the person who knows the way ...

... to treat one another or lend a hand
I am who I am,
proud to be Amer-ican!

FOR YOUR THANKSGIVING
 Nov 2001

WE GATHER TOGETHER

We gather together to give our thanks
the background noise is the war and the tanks.

Somehow life has changed and family 's more dear
as this season we all gather near.

So all that I ask is that you say a small prayer
for all of the families in New York , if you care.

And say one for the families who fought with the best
and another small prayer for friends who are best.

But remember that life last only so long
and make every day count sing a short song.

Smile at the children hug those near by
and remember to love one another
it's not hard if you try.

Tina is still missing
haven't you seen
take a good look
use your eyes, so keen

Someone saw something
please can't you say
we just want some peace
in our own way

I for one ,
pray everyday
and will look
this I say

Watch every person
keep your eyes open wide
there is an answer
one that can't hide

My Christmas Wish for You...
Dec 2001

Is that answers will be found
no matter where you look
and after all that's said and done
you can write a book.

My Christmas wish for you
is to have a happy heart
for God will watch over you
I asked him to do his part.

My Christmas wish for you
is to be blessed from above
and know that you are my friend
'tis you I really love.

Saying Goodbye to 2001

I never wanted to say goodbye
but this year certainly has made me cry.

It made me think about what was first
and for acceptance I did thirst.

I forgot, the way of the Lord
and so selfish was I, things I did hoard.

And then I saw horror and devastation so cruel
terrorism was used as an awful tool.

So as I look over my quaking shoulder,
wondering if I'll be hit by the next boulder.

I say goodbye to 2001
for me, it really was no fun.

I turn slowly forward refuse to look back
God as my leader I pick up the slack

My shoulders seem weightless
as God lifted my ton
I won't look back
'but say goodbye to 200 and 1.

I love to write it's what I do
and you make me feel special too.

A gift from God that is what I say
I just type the words each day

I feel as though from me it flows
as my love for God just grows

Not overly religious just I do believe
use the gifts from God we receive

So thank you Linda you are a friend
and will be from end to end.

Love from
Debi
You came into my life
I can't remember how
but it doesn't matter, not now.

Friends we have become
and friends we shall always be
cause into your life
a special place you've made for me.

No face have I ever seen
but a warmth I sure have felt
you made my woes and worries
just seem to go away and melt.

And so while someday we WILL meet
our friendship , I think
is so fantastic and neat.

And when we finally come together
and meet each other face to face
it will seem so perfect
as our trust falls into place.

A friend is more than body
deeper than a soul
a friendship is what makes one another
feel good and whole.

Jesus is waiting
just for me
 to show me the world
as only he can see.

 The oceans so blue
the sky so bright
and walking with him
I am into the light.

 No longer afraid
this time I select
for the Lord to hold me
and to protect.

So no argument
no, no debating
I am ok
 for Jesus is waiting.
