The Lord Called

The Lord called me today,
I told him that I needed to stay,
His hand held wide - he touched my heart,
He said that it was time to part.
I leave you knowing that you will be glad,
That I rest in peace - please don't be sad.
Some have to go before perceived time,
He called on me, to a place sublime.
His gentle touch,
His warmth and love-
Hand held tight,
I am looking from above.
I thank you for the time on earth,
For all you gave from the time of my birth.
Time went quickly for us ALL,
Now I answer his loving call.
To my family I must say,
Your turn will come,
We will meet some day.
Keep the faith and know that I,
Would not want you to cry.

In memory of a soul not met, but who has touched my heart
more than you will ever know

"I'm Okay"
April 2003

Young and small,
innocent and sweet.
The world an adventure
at my feet.
The map of life unknown.
The road not traveled,
is still a field of grass.
Beneath our feet fish swim,
in our path.

The sky is a canopy,
covers us completely.
Higher than an arms reach.
Fulfilling us splendidly.
With the stars up high,
twinkling brightly as they go round.
Wishing on each star,
what would it take to reach one,
from the ground.

Life is a highway.
Getting older and learning more.
Discovering and remembering,
more now than before.
But those thoughts of childhood,
are still here with me.
Even when I felt really sad,
never knowing what the outcome
would really be.

One night when the stars were out,
I just had to look up above.
My hands took me to the stars,
far from all that I loved.
Please know I look down at you here,
I'll guide you through this pain.
I've reached the stars,
one of my childhood dreams,
and no one can ever hurt me again.

When God Calls Little Children

When God calls little children to dwell with him above,
We mortals sometimes question the wisdom of His love,
For no heartache compares with the death of one small child.
Who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild.

Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to his fold,
So he picks a little rosebud before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them, so he takes but a few
To make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view

Believing this is difficult,  still, somehow we must try
The saddest word mankind knows will always be "Goodbye"
So When a little child departs, we who are left behind
Must realize God loves children.
Angels are hard to find

Thank you Suzie for our Tina angel...
Tina In My Heart

Tina, the angel so fair and so kind
sent to Earth to open the mind.

Her eyes so intense and her demeanor so  smart
she immediately entered into everyone's heart.

But God turned his head for a second to see
then got a message that set spirits free.

Her parents, her family not one understood
but knew that Miss Tina did what she could.

He turned back around to find her on her way
so He reached down to guide her this day.

No matter the answer we won't understand
but we DO know that Tina is in very good hands.

How did it happen for why we're not sure
but God you have taught us that prayer is the cure.

So now I will write when from you I get the sign
for it is how I deal get my peace of mind.

I shall not forget my friend Linda and all
but she already knows if in trouble she'll call.

And I'll come a runnin' for it won't ever end
Tina, in my heart and Linda; my friend.
