A Message From Heaven

I am not so far from you
Just a little way beyond
Past the cares and past the pain
Far past my earthly bonds

When you feel you miss me most
As years go drifting by
Each memory will prove to you
That our love will never die.

For memories are but a touch
From the Father's gentle hand
To heal your pain and mend your hearts
To help you understand

That while I left you far too soon
I did not leave alone
For the Father sent His angels
To gently take me home.

Take comfort when you think of me
Keep my love alive in your heart
And with the warmth of each memory
We will never be apart.

I'M FREE

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God laid out for me,
I took His hand when I heard him call;
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work or play,
Tasks left undone must stay that way;
I found that place at the close of day.
If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss;
Ah yes, these things, I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow,
My life's been full, I savored much;
    Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch.
Perhaps my time seems all to brief;
   Don't lengthen it now with undue grief,
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.

Tina, we have never met
neither have Mom or I
but when I got to know her
many a tear I'd cry

Then I heard the story
and Mom and I got close
you're like another daughter
and you were, to the most

We prayed and stayed so close
hoping for the best
cause Tina you were a person
for life you had a zest

But then the news returned
and we were all so sad
yet at the same time,closure
for that we were kind of glad

Now we know the answer
and somehow through it all
you were watching over
to make sure we'd stay strong, not fall

Now will come the next step
and still your spirit will be near
as answers fall into place
it will become so clear

It doesn't make any sense
and probably never will
but a candle will remain lit
upon my window sill

I just sit and wonder
what , where , how and why
and then I get so angry
and I just start to cry

The whole thing makes no sense
as I feel God's hand on my head
he tells me it's ok
and gives me inner peace instead

So Momma is a friend
and I pray for her and family
and I will stand so strong
by her side as you can see

You were there in spirit
as she fought odds, no surprise
your Mom is quite the lady
and she certainly opened up my eyes

Together we will find
and the truth shall prevail
and when that day comes
then your spirit will set sail

Although we've never met
in my heart and with all glory
I try to make all understand
by telling Tina's story
